Bantug, Maasin City, Southern Leyte, March 25, 2014 – The Philippine National Police (PNP) has instituted the “Integrated Transformation Program – Performance Governance System” last January 2009. This program aims to measure the effectiveness of the PNP organization in preventing crimes and solving those that has already been committed.
The ITP-PGS program serves as the organization’s road map to lasting change which aimed to transform the PNP into a more capable, effective and credible police service by 2030 through the development of individual scorecards/dashboards.

Agbanga, Matalom, Leyte, police authorities of Sogod MPS headed by PSI Castor L Cabilogan and in coordination with RIU8 led by PI Archival J Canillas and Matalom MPS arrested Paulo Roces Deliguer, 67, widower, farmer and a resident of Brgy. San Pablo, Sogod, this province for the crime of Rape under RPC as amended in relation to Violation of RA 7610 docketed under Criminal Case No. 705 and 706 issued on December 2010 by Hon. Rolando L Gonzales, Presiding Judge of RTC Br 39, Sogod, Southern Leyte with no recommended bail bond.

Bantug, Maasin City, Southern Leyte - The Southern Leyte Police Provincial Police Office thru the leadership of PSSUPT ARMANDO F BOLALIN is dedicated in its campaign against illegal drug activities in the province following directives from its top officials to initiate a sustained and intensified campaign against illegal drug activities.
On August 8, 2013 at about 1:05 o’clock in the afternoon, a joint operation of Southern Leyte PPO Provincial Anti Illegal Drugs Operation Task Group (PAIDSOTG) and Maasin City Police Station led by PSI SHEVERT ALVIN L MACHETE, PAIDSOTG Officer, conducted a buy-bust operation at Barangay Combado, Maasin City this province which resulted to the arrest of one Jediel Zabate Escobidal, 31 years old, married and a resident of said barangay was caught in the act selling dangerous drugs locally known as “shabu” thru a poseur buyer. The selling was in conspiracy with one Jacinto Cupas Bolotaolo, 40 years old, married, jobless and also a resident of same barangay who handed over a matchbox to the said accused (Jediel) wherein one sachet of “shabu” was taken and given to the poseur buyer which resulted to the arrest of the aforesaid suspects.
